7-Night Sicily Yacht Charter Itinerary

Day 1: Capo d’Oraldno to Lipari

Commence your sailing adventure in Capo d’Oraldno, a bustling port town on the northeastern coast of Sicily. Step aboard your yacht, which will serve as your home for the upcoming week. Set your course for the enchanting Aeolian Islands, a captivating archipelago featuring dramatic landscapes rising majestically from the shimmering sea. Your first destination is Lipari, the largest and the gateway to this island group. Explore the charming houses and vibrant restaurants of Lipari town. Later, sail up the coast to Coral Beach, Cannetto, where you can savor a tranquil evening, nestled on the bow with a glass of wine, watching the sun dip below the horizon. Pure bliss!

Day 2: Lipari to Salina

Embark on a short voyage to Salina, the Aeolian's second-largest island. Unlike its volcanic counterparts, Salina boasts a lush, verdant environment adorned with wildflowers – an ideal terrain for hiking and exploration. As evening descends, head to Santa Marina Salina and indulge in a freshly prepared Pasta alla Norma at the charming Ristorante Port Bello.

Day 3: Salina to Panarea

Journey from Salina to Panarea on Day 3, discovering one of the crown jewels of the Aeolian Islands. Panarea, with its whitewashed villages, meandering cobblestone streets, and a car-free policy, provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Drop anchor in the picturesque bay of Cala Junco, where you can prepare a delectable lunch of Gamberi Rossi while soaking in the breathtaking Sicilian scenery. Panarea is home to one of Italy’s premier nightclubs, Hotel Raya, which comes alive from mid-July to August each year. Get ready to dance the night away!

Day 4: Panarea to Stromboli

Prepare to encounter one of the most renowned islands of the Aeolian archipelago on Day 4. Stromboli, home to one of Italy's three active volcanoes and referred to as the “Lighthouse of the Mediterranean,” is a captivating destination for many. The northeastern region of the island offers the opportunity to swim at the iconic black beaches, set against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring volcano.

Day 5: Stromboli to Filicudi and Alicudi

Today, navigate to the western side of the archipelago to explore Filicudi and Alicudi. These islands captivate with their off-the-beaten-path ambiance, rugged coastlines, and crystal-clear blue waters. Discover the Grotta del Bue Marino in Filicudi for a day of serene exploration among beautiful caves and vibrant blue waters. Next, venture to Alicudi, where you can trek to the summit of this dormant volcano to behold some of the most spectacular vistas of the six other Aeolian Islands stretching into the distance.

Day 6: Alicudi to Vulcano

Embark on Day 6 by sailing to Vulcano, one of the most renowned Aeolian Islands thanks to its active and impressive volcano. Here, you can hike to the volcano's summit and visit the two mud baths, Acqua del Bagno and Acqua Bollente. Later, head to the northern side of the island to Gelso, a charming fishing village, where you can unwind on the volcanic beaches, kayak in the bay, and perhaps catch a glimpse of dolphins! In the evening, savor a visit to Trattoria Maniaci Pino, an outstanding traditional Sicilian restaurant serving the freshest seafood and pasta dishes. Anchor here overnight before your return to Milazzo tomorrow.

Day 7: Vulcano to Capo d’Oraldno

As your charter approaches its conclusion, relish a leisurely breakfast on your bareboat sailboat and soak in every last moment in the Aeolian Islands. Set sail back to Sicily and capture those final snapshots before arriving back in port.
