7-Night USVI Bareboat Itinerary
Embark on a luxurious journey aboard a crewed catamaran in the US Virgin Islands, and explore our curated itinerary designed to showcase the best of these stunning islands. Please note that itineraries are suggestions and should be customized in consultation with your Charter Expert, along with daily check-ins with your captain to adjust plans based on weather and swell conditions.
Day 1 - St Thomas to Caneel Bay and Maho Bay, St John
Start your voyage by boarding your crewed catamaran in St Thomas. Head east to St John, an island mostly preserved as a National Park. Indulge in snorkeling at Caneel Bay, followed by lunch at Lovango Beach Club. For dinner, Zozo's offers a renowned dining experience with a fixed menu option at $100/person. Alternatively, sail to Maho Bay for an evening filled with activities like paddleboarding, beach walks, and snorkeling with sea turtles.
Day 2: Waterlemon Cay, St John
After breakfast, explore Mary’s Point or Whistling Cay for a guided snorkel tour. Enjoy a leisurely sail to Waterlemon Cay, where you can hike to the Annaberg ruins or engage in world-class fly fishing in the salt flats. For the adventurous, consider a night dive around Waterlemon Cay.
Day 3: Coral Bay, St John
Begin the day with a hike/snorkel at Waterlemon Cay or sail to Newfound Bay for lobster hunting. Head to Coral Bay for cocktails and tacos at Lime Out, followed by a sail to Salt Pond Bay. Options include snorkeling at Booby Rock, a dive excursion, or a hike to Rams Head for a breathtaking sunset view.
Day 4: Congo Cay, Carvel Rock, Mingo Cay, Magens Bay
Embark on an early morning hike up the Ram’s Head Trail. Sail to the Lovango/Congo Cay cut for lunch, and for the adventurous, consider diving Carvel Rock or cliff jumping at Mingo Cay. Enjoy a sunset sail to the renowned Magens Bay, St Thomas, and relish a sunset swim, paddle, or beach walk.
Day 5: Magens Bay
After breakfast, engage in water sports such as paddleboarding, wakeboarding, foiling, water skiing, and tubing at Magens Bay. Alternatively, relax on a secluded beach strip or visit the Magens Bay Beach Bar and Boutique for cocktails and shopping.
Day 4-5 Option: St. Croix
Explore the largest island in the VI territory, St. Croix, known for its history and burgeoning restaurant scene. Enjoy diving on the North Shore, snorkeling at Buck Island, and exploring historical relics. Return to St. Thomas on Day 6.
Day 6 - Little St James, Buck Island (St Thomas)
Motor sail to Little St. James for snorkeling/diving. Have lunch at Pizza Pi in Christmas Cove, then sail to Buck Island for a quiet evening, learning about its history and wildlife.
Day 7: Wreck of the Cartanza, Turtle Cove, Honeymoon Beach, Water Island, Charlotte Amalie
After breakfast, snorkel the wreck of the Cartanza or swim with turtles at Turtle Cove. Sail downwind to Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. Take a sunset sail through historic Charlotte Amalie, with a fun, historical tour provided by your crew.
Day 8 - Disembark
Enjoy a final breakfast onboard before exploring historic Charlotte Amalie through a walking and shopping tour. Visit Emancipation Gardens, the 99 steps, and Fort Christian. Take advantage of duty-free shopping and return to the boat to pack for a noon departure. The crew will arrange transportation to your hotel or the airport.
